follow the crown.S AND R is the alternative partnership of Saxon Kennedy and Reeve Pope, whose inimitable sonic world only began to unfold on their debut EP, Honey, Look At My Face. S AND R bring an uproarious rock instrumentation to vulnerable, genre-bending songwriting. Their world is expanding with alternative hip hop-tinged second EP DOWNDOWNDOWN, a five-act story about spiraling relationships, fractured friendships, and unraveling mental health.Saxon and Reeve find dialogue onstage, drum fills responding to guitar riffs and lyrics in a tight embrace. Saxon screams moody confessionals: queerness, community, love, loss, friends. Behind the drum set, Reeve retorts in rhythms that pull these quivering stories together. They are backed by a rotating cast of faces that join them onstage, in the studio, and behind the scenes.These are the stories that compel you to listen, to dance, to shout, to linger.
